Term 2 Begins!

What a week we had last week at Marahau with the Year 4 and 5 students from Turama, and the Year 5 and 6 students from Ramaroa. The weather was perfect and the students made the most of every opportunity to make connections with the environment and with the other students.

I know that the Year 3 students also had a blast at school, working with Grant and Ms Ellis. Look out this week for a few updates around what happened during week 1!

This term our connections focus is about making connections with what our families do within our community - what every single piece of the puzzle offers to make Upper Moutere such a special place.

We also have cross country in week 3 for the Year 4 and 5 students and the Year 3 cross country later in the term, and we also have gymnastics festival at the end.

It is going to be a busy exciting term!

Some of the activities Turama students choose to do during their morning tea and lunch breaks

Before School Turama Teamwork

This has been a popular before school activity this week for this group.  It took a lot of teamwork for these girls to construct their tower and they were determined to keep building it higher and higher. Learning together is always more fun than learning alone!
