Pupil of the Week

Here is week 4's standouts:

Archie - you have shown you are a real athlete this week - you are a clear leader in your Incrediball cricket team and swam with gusto at the swimming sports - even helping the junior relay team to second! Your Active light is glowing bright!

Harry - you have settled in so well in Turama. You are taking the opportunity to get involved in all of your learning both in and out of the class, and have made some great friends. Keep those Learning Lights on full beam!

Tegan - for being brave and confident in the pool. You are now jumping in at the deep end, swimming lengths and racing against others! We are so proud of you Tegan!

Louisa - for striving for excellence with your diving and for supporting others in the pool. You have been giving up your free time in the pool to teach younger students to dive. Good on you Louisa!

Andy Warhol Pop Art

This week we continued our look at hands, and created these amazing pop art inspired prints. This has helped us decide to look further into pop art - We love it!

World Cup Cricket

Introducing the United Arab Emirates team (aka Tegan, Barney, Xavier, Harry, Otto, Finn and Archie) who played in the World Cup Cricket tournament on Saturday in Tahuna.  What an awesome day and great to see these seven out on the pitch having a great time and giving it their best!  Thanks so much to Barney's dad Mike for managing the team and for our awesome parent supporters: Tegan's mum and dad, Finn's mum and Harry's aunty.

Swimming!

Swimming is well underway. We have split into our literacy groups for swimming and Todd and Julieanne have split us into groups.

We have been learning how to kick and streamline glide. We also practice floating and going under water.

"Swimming is fun because you get to do all different tricks like you can go under water and do handstands" - Sienna
