Gymnastics Festival
Yesterday 28 Year 4/5 students from Turama took part in the Motueka Schools Gymnastics Festival at Mot Rec Centre.  They had been preparing for the festival for the past five weeks and were rearing to go! What a great day they had too, with lots of effort and lots of smiles. Well done to everyone who took part for all of their practise and efforts which definitely paid off. A HUGE thank you to all of the parents who took transport, supervised for the day and helped support the teams to get ready. Also many thanks to Sam Slade who gave up her day to be a judge on behalf of UMO.

While the others were at gym...

Today while Julieanne and the gymnasts were out, the rest of Turama were busy creating super hero writing plans.

We used a superhero generator to create our heroes and villains online. Then we printed these out and added them to a city scape.

We named our city and added descriptive words about our characters around the outside of them.

We also added onomatopoeia words around the outside.

We will use these as writing prompts next week.
